The Tensorfield team spent most of 2022 field testing the viability of thermal micro-jetting for weed control on test fields based in Salinas with the help of Dr Steve Fennimore and John Rachuy. Lethality testing was promising, with practically 100% lethality measured for weeds treated.
The sprayers in the nozzle array shown below are spaced at 0.5″ apart. Our commercial alpha units have nozzles spaced 0.3″ apart to improve accuracy and reduce overspray.
Travel speed was 1.2mph.
